My name is Amanda Johncola. Originally this site was created for my sophomore year Online Journalism course. I have since renovated the page to use as a professional site.
I graduated from La Salle University in 2017 with a B.A. in Communication. I chose to triple track in Mass Media, Journalism, and Public Relations. Following graduation, I enrolled in an accelerated one year Master’s program in Strategic Communication at La Salle University. I will graduate with my M.A. in August of 2018.
I have worked at The Philadelphia Inquirer since April of 2014 in the High School Sports department.
For the Fall 2016 semester, I interned at NBC10 Philadelphia with their web team. After using my Spring 2017 semester to focus on school and work, I applied for a production assistant position at NBC10 Philadelphia and was hire in May following graduation.
In August of 2015 and 2016, I attended the Clyde Hirt Journalism Workshop working on my live event photography and journalism skills at the Hambletonian. I have since been asked back as an adviser.
